Hull Cleaning
Hull cleanings are are our specialty. We are the only company on the lake
that uses nylon brushes instead of pads. Although there are some jobs which will
require a heavy grit pad, most can be cleaned with minimal impact to the paint.
I adocate brushes for several reason. We make make more money the longer we are
able to keep the boat floating, and its a better service selling point when you
can tell a customer that this service offsets its cost by 70% by extending paint
life alone. Pads are better suited to textured paint, and because
bristles splay brushes even out the pressure exerted by a diver making it next
to impossible leave steaks in the paint. Brushes also are better at getting into
all the little crevices
We charge 12$ per anode installed plus the price of the zinc itself in
conjuction with any other service. As a stand alone service the charge is 40$
sail boats and 65$ for power boats with less than 5 zinc, more than 5 we
just use the 12/anode rate.
